One man was killed and another seriously injured after their car hit a bus on the R304 in Joostenbergvlakte on Saturday.
ER24’s Annine Siddall said paramedics reached the scene at about 9.30am, but there was nothing they could do for the driver. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was declared dead. The passenger, a man in his 30s, had to be extricated from the car by fire and rescue personnel.Paramedics treated him and took him to hospital.
“It is understood that not none of the passengers of the bus sustained any injuries in the collision,” said Ms Siddall.
Police spokesman Captain FC Van Wyk said police were investigating a culpable homicide case.
