The production, Kipper and the Queen Bee, returns to the Artscape Theatre for the 17th year and will run from Friday August 11 to Friday 1 September. When Kipper and his friends discover that the buzzing of the bees is disappearing, they also realise that they’ll soon have to say goodbye to their favourite foods. Kipper and Wim decide to take action: the magical key starts to glow and before they can yell, “Hocus Pocus,Sweet Bajocus” they meet a sleepy Flower Fairy, a Queen Bee who seems to have a beard, a monstrous, smoking machine that crashes through the forest and a treasure full of the sweetest golden honey. Tickets cost R70 and can be booked by calling Louise Engelbrecht at 071 688 3033 or marinda.vlooi@gmail.com. Pictured, is Crystal Donna Roberts who plays Wilma.
