■ The first Nurses Night Run, organised by The Exceptional Nurses Campaign to raise funds for nursing bursaries, had more than 650 entrants taking part in the 7km circular route between Constantia and Kreupelbosch and more than R50 000 raised for bursaries. “The Night Run was a great success, and it was wonderful to have so many nurses taking part, special kudos to those who ran in their scrubs!” beams Sister Theresa Basson, director of The Exceptional Nurses Campaign and race organiser. From left are Cape Gate Mediclinic nurses Jacolleen Wiese, Blanche Peens, Annette Alberts and Natasha Snyman who ran the 7km route in their scrubs.
