A plan for three double-storey duplexes in Soneike has been submitted to the City.
The site in Wrasse Road is a single-residential plot that would be rezoned general residential.
Pro-Konsort Town Planners in Goodwood submitted an application on behalf of the property owner, Shafiq Naser, to rezone 24 Wrasse Road from single residential 1 (SR1) to general residential 1 (GR1).
Monday February 24 is the deadline for comments and objections.
According to Kobus Scott at Pro-Konsort Town Planners, each duplex on the 600m2 plot will be 5.1m high, with two bedrooms, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and lounge on the ground floor and an upstairs bedroom with an en-suite.
Each unit will have two parking bays and a garage enclosed by security gates.
Mr Scott said: “I had just put up the post at the site last week (January, 24) and now all of a sudden there’s an issue. Are people really objecting?”
The duplexes, which are close to the Soneike shopping centre, would be suitable for a family of three, he said.
“The prices of each unit can only be fixed once the cost of the development is known,” he said.
