A 39-year-old Mitchell’s Plain man was killed when his motorbike crashed into the side of a Corsa bakkie on Cecil Morgan Road in Brackenfell on Monday, March 9.
ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring said a paramedic on his way to work had seen the bakkie and motorbike in the middle of the road.
Paramedics assessed the biker who sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.
He was treated at the scene then taken to Tygerberg Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police are investigating a culpable homicide, according to Brackenfell police spokeswoman Captain Erica Crous.
The 41-year-old bakkie driver from Delft was not injured.
