Mixit

* It was smiles all round on Tuesday March 29 when Mixit, the feline who obviously has more than nine lives, was finally reunited with her owners, Stephan and Erna Abrahams from Wellington. Mixit went missing in Brackenfell before Christmas and was found, lean and hungry (“Mixit the missing cat found … after four months,” Northern News, March 30) the week before last at Cape Gate shopping centre. She had given birth to a litter of kittens during her homeless sojourn as a “street cat” in Brackenfell, and was sterilised when she was found by The Emma Animal Rescue Society (TEARS) volunteer Celeste Van Schalkwyk, who lives in Protea Heights, Brackenfell.
