A man has been injured in a shack fire in Boesak Street, Scottsdene this morning.
Three firefighting appliances, a rescue vehicle and 14 staff members were dispatched to the scene.
The fire was quickly contained and extinguished at 9am.
No injuries were reported.
Cape Town Fire Services spokesperson, Jermaine Carelse, said: “One adult male sustained burn wounds to the right arm and was treated by fire service personnel.”
The cause of the fire is unknown.Â
