An investigation is under way after a factory caught fire in Kuils River last night.
City of Cape Town fire services dispatched four fire engines, a water tanker and a rescue vehicle with 24 firefighters to Carboncor in Van Riebeeck Road, Kuils River, at 7.15pm on Tuesday.
Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Theo Layne said, “The entire building, including all contents, were affected and sustained significant damage with structural collapse occurring prior to our arrival.”
The fire was contained to the specific building, but crews remained on standby at the scene throughout the night.Â
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage.
