Kraaifontein police station has moved its offices to another building on its premises while it is deep cleaned after staff had contact with someone infected with Covid-19.
The decontamination should take the next two days, at which point staff could return to the old offices, said provincial police spokeswoman Brigadier Novela Potelwa.
The at-risk staff would be screened, tested and quarantined at home, while those who had not had contact with the infected person would continue to work from offices deemed safe on the premises, she said.
