A 9.2 hectare industrial property located in the Wynland Industrial Park in Kraaifontein is going on auction for sale next week, the City says.
The sale of the land located along the N1 will inspire economic growth by allowing private sector-led development opportunities and jobs, which will benefit surrounding areas such as Wallacedene and Bloekombos, the City said in a statement.
The land is one of 45 City-owned properties that will be auctioned for sale and leasing on Wednesday October 2. The auction will be both online and in person.
James Vos, the mayoral committee member for economic growth, said previous auctions were successful. “It’s an exciting way to spark further development across the city. This sale and lease auction of the various properties represents a catalyst for substantial economic growth,” he said.
The properties available for auction include a diverse range of residential, business, community and industrial uses and are located in various areas, including Mitchell’s Plain, Goodwood, Somerset West, Century City, Fish Hoek, Atlantis Industrial and Constantia.
Among the opportunities are 42 erven for sale, which include nine improved properties (residential houses) in Constantia, Plumstead, Gardens and Woodstock, the City said. There are three commercial lease opportunities available in Fish Hoek and Century City.
