Goodwood homeowner attacked

Captain Theunis said the 36-year-old suspect had appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate's Court on a charge of robbery.

Police arrested a man after a Goodwood resident was attacked in Oxford Street on Thursday August 13, at about 5pm.

According to Goodwood police spokesman Captain Waynne Theunis, three men approached the homeowner, and one of them hit him with a braai grid. Another man grabbed his cellphone which had fallen out of his pocket. The homeowner gave chase and, with help from other residents, caught one of the men. The other two fled on foot.
