Durbanville guest house goes up in flames

South Africa - Cape Town - 18 June 2019 - City's Fire & Rescue Services are attending to a fire at Ruslamere Hotel, Spa and Conference centre on Langeberg road in Durbanville. Just after 05:30am on Tuesday morning the City's Fire & Rescue Service, responded to a hotel alight in Langeberg Road, Durbanville. 8 fire fighting appliances, a rescue vehicle, a specialized vehicle and 29 staff members were on scene. The Ruslamere Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre on Langeberg Road in Durbanville caught fire this morning.

Eight firefighting appliances, a rescue vehicle, a specialised vehicle and 26 staff members were dispatched to the scene.

Fire and rescue services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse said: “All persons have been evacuated and no injuries have been reported as yet.”

The fire has been contained. 

The cause of the blaze will be investigated.
