Cultural Affairs Awards

■ Cultural Affairs and Sport MEC Anroux Marais last week launched the 2016/17 Cultural Affairs Awards, which will take place in February next year. The theme is “Embrace Cultural Inclusivity”, and applications are open in eight categories. Nomination forms are available at From left, are Nikiwe Momoti, director of archives and record management; Ria Olivier, from Bellville, winner of the 2015/16 Neville Alexander Award for the Promotion of Multilingualism; Ms Marais; Thami Mbongo, winner of the 2015/16 Best Contribution to Performing Arts: Drama category, and Jane Moleleki, director of arts, culture and language.
