Ambassadors for Change held a prayerful intervention in Scottsdene on Sunday September 24. Delicia Williams, the founder of Ambassadors for Change, centre, said the intervention, which she hoped to repeat in several other communities wracked by violence, was for “every community member”. She said the event was a call to prayer at the sites where young people had been killed by violence. Ms Williams said: “Mothers that lost their sons and daughters, weeping but walking, said ‘No more fear. We are standing up and taking back our streets.’”
