Acting on a tip-off, Maitland Flying Squad discovered 2 017 crayfish tails valued at R120 000 in Hibiscus Road, Tygerdal, on Monday June 8, at about 5.45pm.
Most of the crayfish were undersized. Police also found cigarettes valued at more than R54 000.
Western Cape police media spokesperson Mihlali Majikela said one suspect was arrested on charges relating to the illegal possession of undersized crayfish tails and illicit goods and will appear in court soon.
