Parow police are looking for the family of a teenager who was knocked down by a truck and killed on Giel Basson Road on Thursday May 25.
Police also need witnesses in the case which is being investigated as a culpable homicide.
Captain Kevin Williams, spokesperson for Parow police, said the young man could be aged between 14 and 17.
“At the time of the incident the deceased was wearing black takkies, a black and khaki T-shirt, blue jacket; a green underpants and a multi-coloured shorts.”
The vehicle involved in the incident is believed to be a white or blue Man truck.

An information session to highlight the warning signs of substance and drug abuse was held by members of the employee health and wellness department at Parow police station on Thursday June 29.
Police officials were told about the dangers and consequences of substance abuse and the negative effects it may have on policing; in the execution of their duties; and at home.
Goodwood police arrested a 37-year-old man for business robbery at OK Mini Market, Hugo Street, on Tuesday June 27, at 7.30am.
Warrant Officer Marius Swartz and Constable Marco Solomon responded to a housebreaking complaint and found the suspect in the roof.
“The complainant, locked the store the previous evening at about 11pm. The following morning at 3.10am he was informed about a robbery. On inspection he found that there was a hole in the ceiling and cash was taken from the cash register.
“The complainant decided to stay in the store to do some administration work. At about 7am, while sitting in his office, he heard a noise coming from the ceiling,” said Captain Waynne Theunis, spokesman for Goodwood police.
The suspect appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on a charge of housebreaking.
