The Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP) painted a mural along the outside wall of the Tygerberg Association for Street People (TASP) in Bellville on Tuesday June 27. GTP’s Monique Muller said they plan to install various displays to beautify the urban landscape within the Bellville precinct.
“We decided to do a mural which portrays the core function of TASP – to reunite their clients with their families,” she said. A designer drew the outlines of the artwork with members of the community and TASP “colouring-in” the mural.
“The walls presented an opportunity to create a high impact visual experience once entering/leaving Bellville via the station, taxi rank and bus terminals,” said Ms Muller. Julie Eikaas and Desmond van Beulen, pictured, took part.
