Goodwood police are warning motorists to take care when
parking at Value Centre following a spike in thefts from cars there.
“I want to urge them not to leave any items of value in their cars. I also want to urge them to lock their cars properly,” said acting station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Hennie Rademeyer.
Owners of older models should fit new safety devices to their cars, he said.
There were two cases of carjacking in Parow at the weekend. Parow police spokesman, Captain Kevin Williams, said one car was stolen in Connaught Road on Saturday, the other in Third Avenue on Sunday.
