A 25-year-old Bloekombos man has been charged with the murder of his sister, whose body was found under his bed.
David Masengo-Kock appeared in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court last Friday and is due to appear again on Thursday April 11.
According to Kraaifontein police spokesman Captain Hein Hendricks, the accused reported his sister, Patricia Masengo-Kock, 29, missing on Friday March 15, but, four days later, confessed to killing her.
“The suspect was arrested for the murder of a 29-year-old relative after confessing to the murder and leading investigators to his home where the remains of the victim was discovered.”
Officers found the dead woman’s body after noticing a foul smell coming from Mr Masengo-Kock’s shack in Mkhumbuzi Street.
Ms Masengo-Kock – who worked at Debonairs Pizza in Brighton Road, Kraaifontein -had been stabbed multiple times.
Two women were doing laundry outside the shack on Friday March 22.
One of them told Northern News that both Ms Masengo-Kock and her brother were from Kimberley in the Northern Cape and had come to Cape Town in search of work.
