Goodwood Ratepayers’ Association chairman Brian Lawson has asked residents to keep an eye on how street names are being repainted in the area – paying particular attention to spelling.
At last week’s ratepayers’ meeting, Mr Lawson welcomed the repainting as it clearly identifies streets in Goodwood but said mistakes should be reported to the next meeting of the association on Thursday July 27.
He said these would be forwarded to council to have them corrected.
Last year, Monte Vista residents complained when several street names there were spelt incorrectly during a similar repainting exercise (“Ratepayers unhappy about spelling errors”, Northern News, September 28 2016).
These included Diaz Avenue which became Daiz Avenue and Combrink Street, repainted as Combrinck Street.
