The Hugo Lambrechts Music Trust’s concert on Sunday April 23, will feature Liza Britz, Emilio February and Cameron Williams who all did the province proud in last year’s National Youth Music Competition. Britz (harp) was runner-up in the Other Instruments category; February (marimba) won that category and came third overall; and Williams (saxophone) won the Winds section and was adjudged the overall winner. The three will be accompanied by pianist Elna van der Merwe. The concert in the Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium, Picton Street, Parow, starts at 4pm, and the programme will feature works by composers Peter Klatzow, Hendrik Hofmeyr and Alan Stephenson, as well as unusual duets between harp, saxophone and marimba.
