Jayson King brings the music back

Terry Hector Smith is a veteran entertainer.

The show Let the Music Play will be staged on Saturday June 5 at Joseph Stone Auditorium, at 8pm.

Jayson Jay King has brought together a group of entertainers including Terry Hector Smith, pictured, fondly known as Smiley, who has been an original member of Jayson’s Great Pretenders since 1997.

Supporting the bill are husband and wife team Dennis J Maart and Ruth Knight who will present songs of Peaches and Herb. Sumaya Hendricks will deliver the punchy latino sounds of Gloria Estefan as well as Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor. Rip Steele will sing the songs of Lou Rawls, Frank Sinatra and Barry White. Ameen “Bruno” Hernandez is fluent in Spanish and comes to life with Volare in the style of the Gypsy Kings.

Tickets cost R130.
