Crazy Rythm: The Gypsy Jazz Story

The Hot Club of Cape Town presents Crazy Rythm: The Gypsy Jazz Story on Saturday September 23, at 6.30pm, at Villa Pascal, Durbanville. Starting with Stephane Grapelli and Django Reinhardt’s impromptu jam session backstage at a Paris hotel, the evening tells the story of the Hot Club sound up to the present day. From swinging 1930s Paris, through the dark days of World War II, right up to the current wave of musicians that have made the music a global phenomenon.
