■ Bakgat Country Opskop takes place on Sunday June 3 at the Grand Arena, GrandWest, at 3pm. Country fans can look forward to more than three hours of music from Barbara Ray, Pierre de Charmoy, Rocking Horse, Tommy Dell, Ray Dylan, Ricus Nel, Elizma Theron, Brandon Oberholzer and Elandré Schwartz. These stars will all be supported by a full nine-piece live band, known as The Banned. The show will celebrate the King of Country, Lance James, pictured, who turns 80 years old.
