Inspired by Disney’s From Our Family To Yours campaign, which features a brand new festive advert, as well as the latest gifting solutions from Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars, Canal Walk will be offering a variety of locally sourced craft activity kits.
Aimed at children aged 4 to 12, the kits will be on offer in timed sessions every 30 minutes, at Centre Court, each day until Sunday January 3.
Making great gifts, Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars-inspired pencil holders, key rings jewellery, Christmas decorations and more, can be made by willing hands and imaginative minds.
With competitions and prizes up for grabs, youngsters are encouraged to dress-up for the occasion as their favourite Disney and Pixar characters, Marvel super heroes or Star Wars Jedi’s and Sith’s. There will also be a number of character-led photo stations on site for all to take their selfies and stand a chance to win prizes.
To honour the season of giving, customers can donate to Reach for a Dream and stand a chance to win a dream shopping spree valued at R5 000. Reach for a Dream Dream-makers will be on hand at the Disney Christmas Tree, adorned with Disney plush toys, to receive donations and competition entries. All Disney plush toys will be donated to Reach for a Dream, made possible by the Hyprop Foundation.
The craft sessions take place from 10am to 6pm, with the last session at 5.30pm, and cost R55 per craft activity.

Video calls with Santa
Due to social distancing, and joining the world of digital, Santa will be available for video chats at Canal Walk.
“Using modern technology and our strong relationship with the North Pole we managed to book out some one-on one-time with Santa,” says Vanessa Herbst, marketing manager at Canal Walk. Santa will be online at Canal Walk Centre Court from 11am to 4pm until Thursday December 24.
